Royal Academy of Nutrition Science
The Royal Academy of Nutrition Science （RANS）is a federally registered non-profit organization in Canada. It is a professional body composed of researchers in the field of functional nutrition science, health management professionals, and members from colleges, universities, and research institutions. Its primary work focuses on studying functional nutritional ingredients—such as those derived from animals, plants, and marine organisms—as well as non-pharmaceutical compounds and their effects on human health. This includes the research of ingredients, formulations, and methods of preparation. The Academy provides guidance on personnel training and formulation applications, and also offers certification for formulations and preparation methods. We will engage in a comprehensive strategic partnership with the Association of Certified Professional Nutritionists (ACPN) , adopting a new approach to market applications.

The National Laboratory of Nutritional Science is an important department under the Royal Canadian Academy of Nutritional Science. It is responsible for the research and development of functional nutritional ingredients, as well as the testing and evaluation of formulations and preparation methods. NLNS is administratively affiliated with the Royal Canadian Academy of Nutrition Science (RANS), but operates independently in its professional activities. The results and data from its testing processes are used for the analysis and certification of the functional properties of related products.
